One
of the main goals of Conscious Music Zone (CMZ) is to make the web site a platform for positive
and conscious Black music. The web site will be used as a platform for Black music artists who are not getting
exposure from main stream radio or TV stations. The focus will be on Black
music artists who are committed in creating and producing positive and constructive music. These artists will include
established artists as well as up and coming artists. The goal of CMZ
is to help increase the consciousness of Black people world-wide whose bodies, minds, and spirits have been crushed by the
system of global White Supremacy.

Conscious Music Zone
(CMZ) was initially part of Alkebulan Reference Center (ARC). In 2006, ARC decided to separate selling music CDs on ARC web site. On March 20, 2009 the CMZ web site was launched by its founder Jon Adkins.
